Hey everyone!
We’re back with another devlog straight from the world of Honey Bee, and this time, we’ve got some exciting updates that are making the game feel even more alive (and chaotic, in a good way!).
🏗️ Hive Renovations Over the past few weeks, we’ve been giving some special love to one of the first places you visit in the game: the hive cave. It’s had quite the makeover and now feels much more vibrant, dense, and full of personality.
💡 Lighting: more drama, more atmosphere We’ve also been putting a lot of effort into improving the dynamic lighting. We want each area of the map to have its own unique feel, so we’re tweaking ambient colors, light, and shadows to create a more immersive experience. One place where this is already noticeable is the Graveyard. It used to have very strong lighting, but we’ve toned it down a bit. That should help not only during battles but also with upcoming weather changes... (More on that in the next devlog. 👀)
🖥️ UI and little magical touches We’ve made some small adjustments to the UI as well. Nothing major, but it’s now a bit more organized and intuitive.
🐜 And yes… we now have a dancing ant No explanation needed. It’s a vibe.
